Some of these tasks may seem small or unimportant, but they ultimately prevent you from investing your time in meaningful work that can actually further your career. When trying to identify NPTs to avoid them, look for tasks you’re given that aren’t instrumental to your organization’s mission, aren’t visible, and don’t require specialized skills.
