While sending this announcement of the final performances of our thirty four year musical collaboration, it has indeed been an educational and enlightening journey for TRIO3 and it’s associates. Having started during the years when we were approached individually to perform together at various venues but offered contrary fees, we quickly realized that the evolving clash could be circumvented by agreeing to perform together only as a co TRIO3. We sincerely thank each person who has supported us through the past thirty four years. We have enjoyed many years as a piano-less trio. In addition to our latter years, it has been our pleasure to invite luminous cordal instrumentalists to contribute to our concept. I shall name them here in case you are interested in locating those projects: Andrew Hill, Anthony Peterson, Irene Schweizer, Jason Moran, Geri Allen, Marilyn Crispell, Ethan Iverson, Marc Cary, David Virelles, and Vijay Iyer. We have now come to the time when we must disband the group known as TRIO3. We are hopeful that you will join us during one of our final performances, February 4th, 5th or 6th as we appear with special guests - Vijay Iyer (piano) & Bruce Williams (alto saxophone). Mr. Oliver Lake will share some of his poetry as well. For those who can not join us in-person, virtual live stream tickets are available for both shows on Saturday, February 6th. There will be posters, pictures and CD’s available at the gift shop. Provisions have been made for artists to sign purchased items between or after shows.
