I received this product for free from @go.picky @pickyrewards and @theskinhouse_official in exchange for my honest review. First of all: I love the bright blue glass bottle and the texture. It's a thick, slightly milky and pearlescent serum that melts on your skin and sinks in like water. Which corresponds to its name "Marine Active Serum" (50ml). It's targeted at combo to dry skin. The star ingredients are purified Deep Sea Water, Hyaluronic Acid, Pear Extract (the cute shimmer doesn't show up on the skin, so no highlighting effect), Aloe Vera and Ceramide NP. So the focus is on hydration, soothing and skin barrier support. Cause that's what HA, water, Aloe and Ceramides do, right? I think this is a pretty solid serum for normal/combo skin. My dehydrated combo to dry skin drank it up way too quickly and I have to use quite a bit of it (3-4 pumps). BUT: this might also be due to the alcohol in this serum. Alcohol helps skincare to sink in, but unfortunately it can also be drying. That's why I wouldn't say it's the most hydrating thing I've ever experienced. Don't get me wrong: I still like it... but the alcohol in it kept it from being exceptional on my skintype. There's also a bit of fragrance in it. A subtle fresh scent, I found it pleasent, but if you're sensitive, you might wanna consider this. My sensitive eyes were ok with it though... Another thing I liked: even though it's thicker (imagine a mix of gel and pudding) it doesn't pill under make up. Thicker gel consistencies are prone to do that, but not this one. I will keep using it cause the sensory experience is nice, but I don't know yet if I'd repurchase it. Would I recommend it? Yes, if your skin is not too dry or sensitive and you like thicker hydrating serums in a cute blue glass bottle.
