“When I entered the brand I was extremely nervous because, you know, Alaia is Alaia – the images, the clothes, the perfection,” says Belgian designer Pieter Mulier @pieter_mulier of the house he has inherited, one of the most revered in fashion. “But the first team I met was the ateliers and it was so strange because, in one second, I wasn’t afraid anymore. From the very first minute, I felt part of that family and for me that was the most surprising thing.
