As a photographer, I study continual movement and change. Through the deconstruction of blurred, captured moments, I search for what lies beneath the surface, concentrating on details — an edge of black, a diaphanous surface, etc. I never seem to focus on the whole, as it is far too much to grasp, and so my vision is filled with small details or patches. Similar to how one might witness an accident taking place in slow motion, these details, or patches, are repeated again and again through my mind. With each replay, a new feature is focused upon, allowing my mind to play, or sculpt with the imagery. Belonging to the @mfaboston collection, silver gelatin print, "Untitled #1043 (Full Frame Skirt, Bridal Series)," 2001, was acquired by the Museum of Fine Arts Boston with funds provided by the Horace W. Goldsmith Foundation Fund for Photography.
