And when you get tired to fight, lay down, rest and let someone else fight for you“ -Stuart Scott In September of 2022, I got a call from my dad saying that my grandpa went to hospital and the doctors think he has stage 4 pancreatic cancer. When I went to look up pancreatic cancer I realized just how terrible this disease was and that the life expectancy was only 3 months. I prepared myself for the worst but Papa just kept living and living and living. He was beating the hell out of his cancer. He went on trips to all his grandkid’s colleges, got to see Notre Dame play one last time, he even went to Europe. But after almost 2 years, Papa let someone else fight the battle for him. I will always miss hearing his voice coming from his nest in the other room and all the trips we took to Cincinnati to see him. I love you Papa, I miss you, and I can’t wait to see your nest in heaven.
