To the teenager who put her entire identity in her weight, who constantly compared herself to every other girl on social media who was smaller than her until she was in tears, who had to steal diet pills growing up because she wasn’t old enough to buy them and society melted her mind into believing she needed to be slim, who always said ‘I’ll have to lose weight for that big event’ or ‘I can’t eat that, summer is around the corner and I need to look good in a bathing suit’ - to the girl who never wore the bathing suit. To the girl who didn’t have a role model who was a size L/XL who said it’s OKAY to be at your natural weight. It’s okay to be healthy and alive and love yourself and not be a size small. To that girl, THIS IS FOR HER. You don’t have to lose weight to fit into that dress - buy the next size up. You don’t have to lose weight to go to that wedding, they will love you just as you are. You don’t have to lose weight to be a FREAKING MODEL - because loving yourself and being at a healthy beautiful weight, is so cool. As long as you’re healthy, thriving, and confident in yourself and all that you are - that’s allllll that matters. My inner child is healing, and I can’t wait to be that role model for so many little girls, teenagers, and women who are just like me.
