Obviously, this footage is mostly from coming down after our 3,100-foot climb yesterday afternoon from the parking lot to the Granduer Peak summit. I love training with people much better than me in an effort to elevate my game and true to form that was the case yesterday. @jordymadd and @zackgarn.r are just straight elites that both have goals of qualifying for the US Olympic Trials in the marathon and their running resume would validate that goal. @cheperuns is a running beast 100-mile ultras specifically. Then there is me, an old bowhunter. Which of these is different from the others? That’d be me πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ. But, as I said to get better or improve one most be uncomfortable and push their limits. The guys told me a good time from the bottom to the summit is under an hour, so that sounded like a painful goal and for me it was. I tried to hang on during the climb and hope by staying close their energy would pull me to the summit. It worked sort of. Made it in 59-minutes but felt like I was going to have a heart attack the whole time. Thank you guys for the awesome run. Also, at the summit we saw the @mtnops and @live_recovery_strong crew which was awesome. Love those guys. πŸ™β€οΈ
