PSA for whoever needs to hear it: Doing your natural hair doesn’t have to be an all day process !A few keys to success:🔑 Skip the heavy leave-in, put down the spray bottle of water and use some MOUSSE! It dries a whole lot faster. Given I just co-washed my hair, it still was a little damp from that and if needed definitely spritz some water here and there but I don’t recommend drenching your hair with water or weighing your hair down with leave in conditioner because it will slow the process down. Some mousse followed up with a product to give the curls some hold and you are good ta go ! 🔑 (If it’s needed) TRIM 👏🏾 THOSE 👏🏾 ENDS ! I can always tell a difference in how long it takes me to do my hair when my ends are in good condition compared to when they’re not. 🔑 Don’t be afraid to wash your hair more often! You might think isn’t that giving myself more work 🤔..? It’s not. It can help because if you’re consistently removing those tangles you’re setting yourself up for a quicker and easier process the next wash day. I’ve gotten in the habit of washing my hair now whenever I feel necessary. Sometimes that’s 2-3 times a week other times I spend almost 2 weeks without washing. It truly just depends on my hairstyle and what I feel my hair needs. (SB: On a week I wash my hair 2-3 times I’m not doing a full wash routine EVERY time. For example, my 1st wash day might be a full routine with a clarifying shampoo, deep conditioner, etc. but the next may really just be me wetting my hair, applying some conditioner to detangle and refresh my hair, and then jumping into styling)🔑 A kind of obvious one I think but do a wash and go. Doing a style that requires twisting, braiding, etc. will just take longer. Work in four sections, slap that product on, and GO! #washandgohairstyle #naturalhairtipsandtricks #curlyhairhelp #naturalhairadvice #naturalhairhelp
