Saturday was spent howling up and down a wild array of trails and roads as part of team Werewolves Not Swearwolves in the @rapha #prestige Bellingham event. While it was expressly #NotARace, we had fun trying hard and managed to put in the fastest finish of the day after 8400’ of climbing over 44 miles of not-so-smooth terrain. I felt lucky to have hitched my wagon to a crew of powerhouses in the form of @larsontonin @one_short_life and @act.ionjacks.on who kept the pace high and the vibe light. Huge thanks to @raphamtb and @transitionbikes for hosting and bringing together such a great community of friends. Also, kudos to @larsnbars for masterminding a route that was both classic and creative, going well beyond the standard hits. Big ups to everyone who came out to ride or support. It’s true what they say, there’s something special going on in the Bellingham bike scene. One other note. This photo wasn’t from the ride. We were too busy pedaling to stop for pictures. I shot this on a previous Bellingham trip with @diamondbackbike who’s #Release5c bike proved a worthy steed for Saturday’s ride.
