On my way back from Austin City Limits, I dropped by the home of Joan Shelley and Nathan Salsburg. I covered one of Joan’s songs from her new record, for a series of porch covers she was doing. This song really resonated with me and it meant a lot to sing it. Joan’s music has been with me for so long, and I respect her and Nathan’s artistry so much.
