Meet Rick Ueno, our General Manager for @wsouthbeach in Florida. Rick had an uncle in the business and caught the hospitality bug at a young age. His early introduction to this dynamic industry inspired his childhood dream of running a hotel – a dream he later fulfilled working at Marriott International. A 39-year veteran with the company, Rick started his career as a dishwasher at @westinseattle. Rick had spent three decades with the @westin brand until he was asked to lead the W South Beach in Miami Beach. Initially hesitant about moving, Rick was invited to visit the property before deciding.
