S A N T O R I N I 🇬🇷 G R E E C E ✈️ Known as the Supermodel of the Greek Islands, the face of Santorini provides views that are instantly recognizable from around the world. • The most popular areas are Oia and Fira, and the prime activity in these areas involve walking, eating and shoping along the edge of the island. With cruise ships constantly pulling into port, the island gets upwards of 5000 tourists per day. • Multi-colored cliffs, black and red sand beaches, and vibrant colored flowers help to accent the whitewashed houses and blue domes which provide Santorini with its famous views. • The island gets very crowded during the summer months (peak season), especially Oia; however, the crowds are the most scarce during the winter months (off-season). • The best time to visit Santorini is between Fall and Spring (September to October and April to May), when the weather is still warm. • Santorini welcomes the most visitors during the summer, so I'd recommend making any hotel reservations months in advance, if you plan on visiting anytime from June through August. • For the best prices and least crowds, you could visit during the winter months, when room rates plummet; however, the season's average highs only reach the 50's with high precipitation. It's also super windy. Nonetheless that rain does help to make for beautiful flowers during the spring and summer seasons. • Crowds are low in the spring; however, tourist activity begins to pick-up in May, and gradually increases, significantly throughout the summer. • You can't beat these views, so I'd definitely recommend booking an island tour, a catamaran or renting an ATV or car and go exploring on your own.
