I remember when I handed in my notice at my successful, full time office job to do nails full time, knowing I only had one full day of clients per week on my books😬 Everyone around me thought I was crazy 😂 Some even told me not to do it. That I had a mortgage and bills to pay. That I had a good job already and nails wasn’t a proper job. That I was throwing away something good and taking a huge RISK. I understood them. Yeah I probably was crazy. Yeah I did have bills to pay & Yeah I did already have a good job. But I also knew that this wasn’t a risk - it was a crossroad🙅🏻‍♀️ I could either stay in a job that would never leave me completely happy & fulfilled. Or I could try something new that had the potential to not work out. Are they both not risks???? One may be scarier than the other, but whenever you find yourself facing a ‘risk’, look at the alternative and I bet that’s a risk in itself too. I wrote on yesterdays post about perception and thoughts, and this one kind of goes hand in hand so I thought I’d share it today in case it helps even just one person. There is risk every way you turn. You can risk staying the same or you can risk trying a new path. But if you think back to a time when you’ve experienced amazing growth, or done something you’re really proud of... I bet it involved something that scared you even just a little? Thank god you had the guts to do it anyway, hey. So just a little message, for anyone who this resonates with today. There are no risks, just crossroads. This is your life, your story, and only you’ve got the pen. My story since I took that very first leap is colourful 😂 I’ve faced one hundred crossroads since and I’m sure I’ll face one hundred more. But I love my story.
