Desert power- 🌗 Land of beginnings, land of endings. Memories from Wadi Rum, the one place with such jaw dropping natural beauty makes one feel like maybe... maybe there could be a god. The deafening silence, the massive scale, and the heat at an average peak of 110F in the summer I went, was truly a spiritual moment of sorts. Walking around between the mesas lifting off from the sea of sand, also know as Valley of the Moon, we would occasionally stumble into a carcas or the bones that remained of one. And it would make me realize how tiny we are in the scope of time. The body of whatever former goat or antelope I was looking at was going to be swept away by the sand and wind forever, but somehow we kept seeing new signs of life in little crevices or at night when the animals would come out and make small noises as they hunted. This place is both extremely peaceful and hostile at the same time.
