Frances Conroy as Jo in the play The Lady From Dubuque, which premiered at the Morosco Theatre on Broadway on January 31, 1980 up until February 9, with a total of 12 performances. The play would be Frances’s Broadway debut and it would be her first time working with playwright Edward Albee, and she would later work with him on on his play Three Tall Women. This would also be Frances’s first time working with actress Irene Worth, who she would later work with in the Broadway play Ring Round the Moon.
