🚨 AUTHOR EVENT ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨 WEDS AUGUST 10TH 6PM 🗓 Please join us as we are thrilled to partner with @caldoverde_dtlap @downtownlaproper to host a very special conversation with award-winning chef and author @hamilton_gabrielle of the iconic NYC restaurant, Prune. @suzannegoin and @carolinestyne have masterfully crafted an entire evening inspired by the Prune cookbook 💙 On hand to handle to moderating duties will be our trusted #friendoftheshop, food seeker numero uno of @round.glass, @esquire contributing editor , and SoCal native @thegordinier ✨
The author talk between Hamilton and Gordinier will run from 6-7PM. Well, we can’t promise you but there may be talk of (quite possibly on pure speculation here) - the thrum of the East Village, what the summers are like spent growing up in rural Pennsylvania, the joy of canned sardines and triscuits, having the foresight and heart to write about “family meal” and “garbage” in a cookbook in 2014, the regal elegance of celery hearts victor, cooking to rock n’ roll, roasting rabbits, and the knowing hospitality in a glass that is the Prune Bloody Mary ...
From 7-10pm in Caldo Verde downstairs, there will be a magnificent menu inspired by Hamilton’s cookbook as well as a murderer’s row of specialty cocktails from incredible guest bartender #daniellemotor of @sunsetboulevardier on hand to raise a glass to having Prune in LA, if for just one fleeting evening ⏳ Get to it if you fancy a table, reservations are going lightning fast and booked via @opentable 🏁
Naturally, we will have signed copies of THE PRUNE COOKBOOK as well as Hamilton’s beloved bestselling memoir, BLOOD, BONES, & BUTTER: The Inadvertent Education of a Reluctant Chef available to purchase to bring home as keepsakes.
