📸 @braybraywoowoo - Backpack the Kalalau Trail 🪣📝✅ This was by far one of the tippy toppy highlights of 2022! I’ve ALWAYS wanted to do this trail and can’t believe I finally had the chance. It all began when @chadtorkelsen called me and was like, “yoooo wanna go to Kauai? I got 4 permits for 2 nights on the Kalalau.” My answer was, “YUP!” We hopped packed our bags, hopped on a plane and the rest was history. @chadtorkelsen, @chelseamealo, @alexmackphotography and I spent 2 nights in this absolutely magical part of the world, made life long memories and I snapped some of my all time favourite photos. 1. My favourite camp spot during the trip. While we were camping here, multiple groups passed through and mentioned that “they always come back to this spot.” I don’t know how we managed to luck out with this one, but BOY OH BOY am I glad that we did. 2. & 3. A couple of my fav shots during the gruelling hike to Kalalau Beach. The hike was deffs a challenge, but I managed to snap a couple photos in between the huffing and puffing. Documenting adventures like this are difficult when the only goal in mind is to get your bag off your back. 😂 4. After sleeping in the bushes the first night we realized our camp was infested with ants and centipedes lmao. @chelseamealo and I dragged the tent on the beach, relaxed and made friends with this magical little birdie. 🐦 5. BEACH DAY! The sun came out and we soaked in the rays at one of the most gorgeous beaches nestled in the mountains that I’ve ever seen. 6. & 7. Some shenanigans around our fav camp spot. As you can see, the hiking clothes came off and it was beach vibes ONLY. 8. We adventures around our new camp spot and snapped some photos of one of the most beautiful coasts on Earth. 9. & 10. RAINBOWS! RAINBOWS EVERYWHERE!! Our last sunset was rewarded with an explosion of rainbows and golden light. It gave me a rush of adrenaline and I couldn’t believe this was real life. 🌈 Overall Rundown: 🥾 22 miles round trip ⛰ 6200 feet of elevation gain ⛺️ 2 nights in the backcountry 🫂 good vibes all around 🤠 & just a weee bit sketchy #earthoutdoors
