The BTS video here is Corey getting a reading of the rear projector light, which was on a wall of vapor that we used as an interactive projection screen. As an operator, I think it’s crucial to always have a change of all black clothes, along with your weather gear, since you never know what situation you’ll be thrown into. All of the shots of Olivia in front of the vapor wall have Corey directly behind her in the shot, while he carefully dodges being illuminated by the projector, and finds handheld angles for when Olivia steps into the light. I loved these shots since it gave the audience an intimate viewpoint that they may not have expected. Gotta give a special shout-out to @slimreaperlightshow that monitor wall was impressive, and by far the best one I’ve ever worked with. Bravo! I never jump into photos, but it’s not every day you get to work with one of your new favorite artists, and a director you’ve admired since you began your career. Grateful for this opportunity, and everyone’s hard work that went into it. 🎤💜🎸
