#Ad This year, I’ve partnered with @pearlmillingcompany as an advisor for the P.E.A.R.L. Pledge grant program – a multi-year initiative focused on championing the success of Black women and girls across the U.S. A total of $1 million in grants will be awarded this year to 501c3 organizations focusing on the five key P.E.A.R.L. Pledge pillars: Prosperity, Empowerment, Access, Representation, and Leadership. 💪🏾 I’m excited to spotlight six of the organizations that are among the 2022 #PearlPledge grant recipients: The Ajilla Foundation (@AjillaFoundation) focuses on empowering women and girls of color through leadership, innovation, and technology. Girls on the Run Chicago (@gotrchicago) inspires girls to be healthy and confident by bolstering their mental and physical health. Humanity 360 (@Humanity360for365) aims to lessen the number of people suffering from mental illness and reduce the suicide rate in the United States. As an Industrial Council of Nearwest Chicago managed program, Impact Culinary Training (@impactculinary) provides Chicago’s West Side residents with the opportunity for careers in a thriving and diverse culinary industry. Moms as Entrepreneurs (@namentrepreneur) focuses on increasing economic power in underserved communities, strengthening entrepreneurial resources for existing or aspiring mom entrepreneurs. Minnie’s Food Pantry (@minniespantry) provides healthy meals and educational resources to children and families in need to address the issue of food insecurity in the North Texas community.
