Burnout. 🔥 This is a word that I've heard a lot of lately across all professions. I built this business from a place of burnout. I was tired and worn down from taking care of people and dealing with trauma and death as a critical care nurse, and then as a nurse practitioner. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I was jaded and knew I was no longer serving my patients in the way that they needed. So I made a change. And now I get to create art that truly brings me joy, and I get to connect with others in happy times of their lives instead of tragic ones! 💛 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I think the most important thing is recognizing when you're in that space. It can be hard to see it when you're in the hole, but those around you and closest to you can often see it first. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The next thing to know is that YOU CAN MAKE A CHANGE. What would make you happy again?
