I’m extremely prone to nostalgia. I love moments that meant a lot. I appreciate moments that have affected me. I hold onto those things that have shaped me. I often have these realizations that I’m changing. I’m finding that what I care about shifts. The things I’m pursuing change. It’s odd to see things move from current passions and experiences to nostalgic memories. To see them move from things shaping me to part of the story that shaped me. The first time I photographed Ethan Hawke, I feel like I was a completely different person. We created an image that means a lot to me.
