Covering our summer 2022 features is Mia Healey, fan favorite from Amazon Prime’s “The Wilds.” We sat down with Mia to talk about the significance of portraying a religious queer character, the beauty of a set that feels like family, and what she ultimately hopes for Shelby’s future. “I think the island was the best thing that could have happened to [Shelby]...She finds her peace, I guess. Maybe not so much peace — but a kind of growth that she’s always been holding back because she felt it was sinful. I think she feels on this island, she’s got this freedom.
