Dinosaur Jr. plays @thedrakeamherst on Wednesday, April 27th! The Drake is a long time coming. Now an urban legend, its namesake was a landmark watering hole for nearly half of a century- opening its doors as a hotel in 1938 and finally meeting its demise as a dive bar in the late 80’s. With the work of an extraordinarily talented team, the Drake has reincarnated as a non-profit world class concert hall that will welcome arts and culture from around the world, resuming its role as a landmark gathering place in the heart of downtown Amherst, MA. Dinosaur Jr. is psyched to be the first show on this hometown stage, and there will only be 200 tickets released to the public. We want everyone to have an equal shot at getting tickets (and prevent scalpers from getting their claws into it), so we’re releasing tickets via lottery.
