As a female sports broadcaster, there is an undeniable pressure for women to “get it right.” A balance of having to sound good with a certain emphasis on how she presents herself. While wondering if it’s safe to speak up and ask for HELP or SUPPORT when needed. Oh, and I forgot...while also juggling home life, family life, losing family members, taking care of kids and taking care of HERSELF. COMPARTMENTALIZING the daily challenges of life. As football season embarks - I’d like to shout out to my fellow sisters who are working overtime to produce amazing broadcasts, tell the untold stories and doing it all while having to be ‘on camera.’ I applaud you for what you are accomplishing.
