Every December, I take the last two weeks completely off. 👀 No emails. No social. No work.  Just me, my husband, our dog Hudson, and whatever cozy thing I feel like doing that day. ‼️ And it’s possible because I plan my entire year around it. Here’s the thing nobody tells you about taking real time off as a business owner:  ⚡ It doesn’t just happen. You can’t wake up on December 15th and decide to peace out for two weeks.  Your business will implode. 💡 You HAVE to build your year so that taking time off is built in, not something you squeeze in if you’re lucky. 💭 That means I’m thinking about my December break in January.  I’m batching content in October.  I’m setting up automations in November.  I’m telling my customers in advance that I’ll be gone and when I’ll be back. It sounds like a lot of work up front. And honestly, it is.  But you know what’s harder?  🚩 Never taking a real break.  🚩 Burning out every December because you’re trying to work and enjoy the holidays at the same time.  🚩 Resenting your business because it won’t let you rest. I used to think taking time off meant my business wasn’t successful enough to run without me.  Now I know the opposite is true.  ✨ Taking time off means I built something that works even when I’m NOT constantly hustling. You can do this too!! It just takes a little planning.
