Here is another bass I built back when I was 17 or 18 (it took me a while to build). It has a Walnut body with a Maple top with Purpleheart stripes, Maple neck and Ebony fretboard. This is my recording bass; you can hear it on about every one of my songs that has bass guitar in it (some are with synths). This bass has a really snappy, clean tone to it. I started this one when I was about 15 or 16, and it took me forever to finish because I kept making mistakes, which correcting them helped me develop a lot of skills. Building basses and guitars is not a cheap hobby, so saving up for parts also took me a while, being a high school student with practically no income. Despite all the mistakes, it still became my favorite to use in the studio!
