Throughout my life, there have been constant realizations of change. These realizations often come years after and tend to be retrospective. Not currently though. More than ever before in my life I feel change happening. What I don’t want from this change is to wake up a year from now and wonder how I got to where I am. I don’t want it to be passive. I want to be responsible for making this state progress and not just simply change. It’s an incredibly uncomfortable place to be in. It’s prompting me to question a lot of what I’m doing and why. It’s challenging me to embrace discomfort. It’s residually creating distance socially. Along with all of that discomfort though, it’s inviting new music, new ideas, new travel, new routines and a lot of discovery. I don’t know if I’d be quick to say it’s exciting but there is a lot of feelings. Things feel a lot right now and it’s not necessarily good or bad.
