Pita Bread 🫓 🥙#RecipeAlert 🚨 It’s FINALLY HEREEEEEEE!! I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve just ended up eating roti and not pita and there are two thumb rules for it and what I’ve learnt along the way! 1. Make sure your oven is hot and the tray is hot inside it. 2. Make your the yeast is active not dead ( happened to me twice when baking) Also, Pita bread can be forgiving and amazing. You can make the dough and keep it in the fridge and use it the next day. This recipe is amazing and I can’t thank @ila_kaushal enough to help me perfect it🤞🤗🥰 I can’t wait for you guys to try it 👇 Ingredients : Flour – 180 Gms Water – 112 Ml Salt – 3 Gms Sugar – 2 Gms Active Dry Yeast – 2 Gms Olive Oil – 10ml Method : 1. Warm up your water until it is just lukewarm. Add in your sugar and yeast, whisk well and set aside to bloom. 2. In a bowl, add in your flour and salt, whisk and set aside. 3. Once the yeast mixture has bloomed and become bubbly, add it into the flour along with the olive oil and knead until the dough clears the windowpane test. 4. Place the dough in a well-oiled bowl and set it aside to proof for 1 hour. 5. Post that, knock back the dough and punch the air out. Divide into desired quantity and shape into balls. Cover and allow them to rise for another 20 minutes. 6. Pre heat your oven to its highest setting (250° C) and keep a tray inside to preheat with it. 7. Take your dough ball and roll it to about a 2-3mm thickness. Be sure to not make it too thin as once its baked it’ll become like a papad. 8. Place a bowl of ice water in the oven to create some steam. Place your pita onto the hot tray and allow it to cook for 2-3 minutes. Don’t let it develop too much colour as that can dry out your pita. 9. Finish with some olive oil on the pan and enjoy! I hope you enjoy this recipe! Please try it at home and drop a comment below for all our collective efforts ❤️ #pita #pitabreas #pitarecipe #baking #recipe #recipereel P.S. This dough can be refrigerated and kept for future use. After knocking the air out, place the dough into a large airtight container and store for upto 2 days.
