I feel like those words align with a lot of colors within me. The cultural language being said on stage was something I was soooo excited to dip my toes in. I also have this thing where my titties know when I book a job and after my second callback... they knew.” What will you miss most about your time with #StrangeLoopBway? “Having a bunch of Black, queer, gay folks on Broadway saying the things we’re saying about love and about politics and about the world and about us not being a monolith. I think it’s lovely to put community in one space and then make art. We don’t get to see a lot of Black queer folks on stage often, and I’m going to miss that feeling.” What do you hope the legacy of #StrangeLoopBway will be? “I hope that the door opens for Black Trans & Queer-creators/lesbians artists like me to be here and thrive, and that we devote our time to actually making that space the safest it can be for them. May we devote our time to uplifting and listening to the most marginalized. Freedom doesn’t come from filling the representation quota-it comes from doing the work. Cheers to us doing the work”
