Strolling through our vineyards makes us really happy these days ๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸŒผ๐Ÿ In some of our vineyards we work with rotational greenings to build up humus, bind nutrients, increase the water storage capacity in the soil and to have a positive impact on biodiversity. In other vineyards we donโ€™t open the soil at all, so there is only spontaneous greenings in the rows. Like on the second video in one of our Riesling vineyards. Each site has different characteristics. And so each vineyard is farmed according to those. In our sandy steep slopes, we do not open the soils. In our more loamy not as steep sites, we work with greenings. But weโ€™re still at the very beginning of the journey of organic farming and our current goal is to build up healthy soils, to give something back rather than only take from the land. Observing how the vineyards look and feel is rewarding and motivating ๐Ÿ’›
