At McNally Jackson, we're particularly proud of our collection of international literature—as you may have guessed by our shelving system, which breaks down our fiction geographically. But did you know we also have a book club dedicated to reading books from around the globe? In 2022, we read a book each month, including Chilean Poet by Alejandro Zambra, Elena Knows by Claudia Piñeiro, Mona by Pola Oloixarac, Grey Bees by Andrey Kurkov, Fish Soup by Margarita Garcia Robayo, Death and the Penguin by Andrey Kurkov, Hotel Silence by Auður Ava Ólafsdóttir, and Quake by Auður Jónsdóttir.
Our first read of 2023 will be Lion Feuchtwanger's The Oppermanns, rereleased by our very own @mcnallyeditions this October. Join us in person at our Nolita store, or register to join us virtually through the link in our bio!
