This post is a few months late, but 8 years ago I moved to NYC fresh off a breakup and out of college with two suitcases to my name. I met my first roommate from a Facebook housing group on a sidewalk on UES for 15 minutes before signing a one year lease (we ended up living together for two blissful years and are still friends to this day 🙌🏼) I had wanted to work in fashion and live in NYC since high school, and I was finally making that dream come true. (The fashion part came a few years later, as well as a food blog that I never anticipated, and grew in ways I never imagined) 💻 I made lots of new friends, saw friends move in and out of the city, went on many dates, explored and ate as much as I could around the city, traveled as much as I could, and lived my life through the highs, lows, lessons, and most importantly, growth ✈️ NYC is not an easy city to live in, but I don’t know where else I could have spent my twenties 🏙️ Thankful and proud to have made it this far, and thankful to all 31,000+ of you who have helped me realize that my true passion lies not in corporate America but in helping others find the best restaurants, bars, and other places to make the most of their leisure time 🙌🏼 . . . . . #nyclife #nycliving #nyclifestyle #nyclifestyleblogger #nycblog #nycbloggers
