Iran’s notorious #EvinPrison that houses hundreds of unjustly detained poltical prisoners including students, activists, artists, journalists, lawyers, environmentalists, poets, athletes, dual and foreign national hostages and other innocent people, is ablaze and there have been multiple sounds of gunfire and explosions. The Islamic Republic has a history of massacring it’s poltical prisoners and these reports are extremely concerning. Urgent action is needed by the international community. It’s time to call an emergency @unhrc session and hold the Iranian authorities to account for atrocities. Repost from @hra.news • ویدیویی دیگر از بروز درگیری در #زندان_اوین در این ویدیو صدای انفجار به گوش میرسد و ستونی از دود از این زندان بلند شده است. خبرگزاری #ایرنا به نقل از یک مقام ارشد امنیتی مدعی شد که این رویداد به دلیل به آتش کشیده شدن انبار لباس زندان توسط زندانیان صورت گرفته و اکنون شرایط تحت کنترل درآمده و عوامل آتش‌نشانی در حال اطفای حریق هستند. این در حالی است که مرکز رسانه قوه قضاییه طی اطلاعیه ای متناقض با گزارش ایرنا گفته است که آتش سوزی در کارگاه خیاطی زندان اوین و به دلیل درگیری بین زندانیان محکومیت مالی و سرقت صورت گرفته است.
