Balance is a such a tightrope act. I’m constantly trying to find balance between discovery and consistency. When the art of it begs for risk and trying something new and the commercial part of it holds so tightly to doing what I know works for the client. Leaning too far into either and I fall. I either potentially fail and miss the mark or I become bored in routine. Like most things in my life, I’m the happiest when I find the balance between two opposing ideas. It feels like chaos when I lose that balance. Photographing someone in a tiny room is a blessing in disguise. Less people, less distraction.
