Magical fall day in the alpine yesterday with @timmatsui. We climbed The Hitchhiker on South Early Winters Spire at Washington Pass, a climb that I’ve been meaning to get on for years. Tim has climbed it before, so he volunteered to lead the first four pitches and then handed the rack over for pitches 5-9, all of the crux pitches. Super grateful. I’ve only managed to get out on alpine rock one other time this season, so I was wondering how it would go. Really stoked to have followed cleanly on all the lower pitches, and then onsighted all of my leads. Had to dig deep in a couple of spots, but perfect conditions and high stoke won the day. What a dreamy #Roctober outing in the North Cascades!
