Halfway through July and it’s already been one of our best summers. 3 years ago, we didn’t think we would ever look at summer the same. Every day was a reminder of what we went through - the day she was diagnosed. The day they said it was an infection. The day she had her second scan. Her third scan. Her biopsy. It was a summer I wish on no one. But sadly childhood cancer is on the rise. And there are families every day facing what we faced. What we had to go through. And what we overcame. And while I will likely live in a constant state of PTSD for the foreseeable future, the perspective that awful journey gave us was a gift. We have officially taken summer back. Our memories moving forward are good ones. Happy ones. We have been flying by the seat of our pants, jamming it all in. And it’s only just started. #summer2025 #lfg
