Wow, 4 years since @wilcockbasses offered to build me a bass and we got together and designed my dream instrument! We already had a head start with Viv Wilcock's extraordinary design aesthetic and his drive to make a unique, playable and beautiful instrument. My small contribution was to simply add a gold foil style pickup right up against the neck in the style of some old #Gibson basses or more specifically the #Supro Huntington. I think combination of the short scale with these pickup placements gives some really cool tones and I continue to reach for the "Mullarkey" before my vintage basses in many recording scenarios.
