MICROBLADING VS. POWDER OMBRE What is the difference?šŸ“ Till this day, I still get a lot of inquiries for my work but asking for "Microblading" - I will say this once. !!ļøI do not offer Microblading!!ļø. I probably never will. No hate to those who do though. Your work looks great when done right ā¤ļø Let me break down the difference for you guys who are still new to the Permanent Makeup world. Microblading is a technique done by a hand held tool using a blade that cuts into your skin to create the "natural hair stroke" look. It is ONLY meant for normal to dry skin. People still do it for clients who have oily skin (waste of money) in my opinion because oily skin will cause the strokes to fade much faster and will eventually blur making the strokes less crisp and sharp. āœ… It is more invasive to the skin because it uses the blade to cut into your skin āœ… It may require more touch up because its meant to look natural āœ… It can be more painful (I've heard too many clients tell me its super painful. Oh and the sound šŸ˜–) āœ… It can cause scarring overtime with the constant cut into the skin every time you get a touch up. āœ… It is great for those who have lots of brow hair. If you have little to no hair, the strokes would just look like lines on your face which can make it look fake āœ… With proper pre and post care followed, it can last up to 2-3 years Powder Ombre is a technique that is done by a tattoo machine with a single needle that creates a airy powdery look to mimic the makeup look. āœ… It is great for ALL skin types āœ… It is so versatile as it can be customizable from natural or to makeup/bold look āœ… It is less invasive to the skin as we are merely grazing the skin āœ… It is great for cobering up old tattoos āœ… It requires less touch up if you opt for a bolder look āœ… It is less painful. Most of my clients fall asleep during the procedure āœ… It is great for those who have sparse brows as well as thick brows to get a fuller defined look āœ… With proper pre and post care followed, it can last up to 3 years I hope this post helped explain the difference for those who are interested in getting brows done but not sure which one is best suited for you.
