Mellow Yellow After our recent trip to the Southern Highlands and seeing the blooming daffodils on the side of the road it made me realise just how much the colour makes me happy Yellow is warm, welcoming, and fun, and when used in the right tone can be calming too. I like to use it in both fabrics and paint, and in accessories too. Tips for using yellow in your home: Try not to go too bold or bright, it can feel overwhelming and loud. Pair yellow with navy, green, black, light blue and white for a sophisticated palette. Bring in yellow through accessories or fresh flowers that you can change out weekly, there are plenty available now like tulips, daffodils, jonquils and hyacinths which have an amazing perfume. The yellow tone doesn’t always have to be an exact colour, brass materials and fixtures will give your interior warmth too. Happy and hopefully a sunny weekend x A
