Natural Fade on extensions 🍂 Bellami’s hair goes through a lightening process then is colored (has to be colored to be consistent with our amazing shade swatch!) (also any one claiming they have “virgin” hair I call bull 🤷🏼‍♀️) Natural fade on the extensions is bound to happen just like it does with our natural hair. It’s always important to talk to your guests about this so they know eventually coloring the extensions is to be expected. Especially with Semi-Permanent hair extensions that live in the guests hair... so everything happening to your natural hair is happening to the extensions as well! Your extensions could fade exposing the underlying pigment just like our natural hair does. Things that can expedite this could be hard minerals in your water, not using salon grade product, environment (salt water / beach days / sun) too much heat or mechanical damage, too hot of water, etc. What’s great is when you take a bellami Pro Master class is we go over the proper way to color and re-color extensions. Here are a few tips and also my go to formula for when that caramel blonde (18/46) has faded ♥️ ⁣ Formula: @alfaparfusa new colorwear 8N/8.1 (equal parts) w/ 10 vol (2 parts developer to 1 part color) for the full processing time. ⁣ 💡 tips: •always color extensions on damp towel dried hair. (This helps equal out the porosity, I also like to spray with a porosity equalizer) no one wants spotty hair! 🐅 •saturation is 🔑 •work that color in and make sure to check as the color starts to process making sure no spots were missed. *Just remember* if you aren’t 100% on the outcome, always ALWAYS test strand extensions.
