This past week we pitched our company for the first time ever! ✨ We made it as semi-finalist for the @valdebeauty Latinx grant competition and got to share all about our baby brand Vive to four amazing judges (@anaflores_me @deepica @reaannsilva @nyakio). While we didn't win, we still received some amazing prizes and a connection to some amazing founders and business women. And we’re grateful to @margaritaarriagada for doing all of this for the community! Imposter syndrome (phenomenon) is real and when things get hard it's easy to get discouraged and question our own abilities and even doubt our choices (like why we started this company), but receiving validation and such positives words from big deal beauty executives really gives us more hope and encouragement of what we're building and Vive is becoming. What we’ve slowly realized is that sometimes the only one stopping us from reaching higher is ourself. We get in our way by playing it small because of fear, insecurities and so many other things we deal with. But we deserve so much more than that.
