What an absolute tornado of a tour! We played to music-starved folk that bought their tickets in 2019 and for many it was a brave foray back into the world of mass gatherings. But it was an overwhelming experience for band and audience alike. I'm relieved and elated that we made every single show of this leg of the tour that was so ambitious in every way. @emilyelbert @mofro11 @brynbliska @christianeuman giving it 100%... Achieving vocal harmonies that have never been attempted before, breaking hearts, nailing parts, blazing solos and throwing in so much juicy imrov every night to keep things fresh. So humbled by our incredible crew working insanely hard, assembling a grand piano, a massive lighting rig and an entire music shop on stage every day and keeping spirits high @robfishermusic @jose.ortega.a @claudio.somigli @al_melchior @regina.averion @dursofine @franiam @gomyben And not forgetting @ryan.largen on merch 😅 @themogli capturing every single moment with effortlessness and mad style. FOLLOW THIS GUY, HE'S INSANE And lastly to @jacobcollier. Thanks for putting up with my wrinkly old bass notes and letting me beat you at chess day after day after day.... 😜. Na you did get me in the end. But whenever I missed a cue or picked up the wrong instrument, it's because I was standing open mouthed, wondering how the hell you just improvised some unfathomable polyrhythmic bass part, having just leapt over the piano and hit a gong at 30 feet all the while singing like it was a studio take. But fireworks aside, you have re-imagined what a concert can be - it's an absolute joy for us all making heartfelt music with you and the audience knows it 🤎🤎🤎
