DELPH 🤍💙 Your weekly reminder that sugar flowers like delphinium, tweedia, hellebore, foxglove, and so so so many more aren’t toxic and/or poisonous like their fresh counterparts. Let’s stop putting things that shouldn’t be ingested or near food on cakes!! If you are ordering fresh flowers for your cake, talk to your florist about which flowers are safe for cakes and while we are at it which ones hold up well out of water for a few hours (I’ve seen so many sad wilted anemones lately, they just don’t like being without hydration). Better yet, let’s recreate them in sugar so you know they are food safe and will look just as good at 8:00pm when you have photos taken of you cutting your cake as they did at 3:00 pm when we delivered.
