Since I put up the wallpaper in the bathroom I’ve had a few questions on how to look after it, so here is my failsafe product that I have been using for over 15 years - Decorators Varnish! As long as you have good ventilation in your bathroom and it’s not a total steam box, you can use general wallpaper in it. After it has been applied and the paste is dry, I give it 2-3 coats of Decorators Varnish which is a clear paste that you can’t see but it provides and barrier to stop water damage, staining and scuffing.
