AD Hosting a colourful event to celebrate the launch of @zenb_uk’s latest creation - 100% yellow pea Spaghetti🍝
Using JUST yellow peas (skin n’all) , ZENB has developed a method to create this fine long pasta shape, without the glutinous stretch of wheat dough. The result - a delicious high protein, high fibre Spaghetti that’s changing the way we eat the iconic pasta shape!
The perfect location for the foraged feast was @nomadicdinners - a food and foraging retreat in Chalfont St Giles, suburbs of north of London (yes I thought it was France too). Think seasonal food fire-cooked in the glade of a woodland while we foraged wild blackcurrents, elderberries, linden berries (apparently the new trend in foraging for having a hint of cocoa about it when roasted), sorrel (that leaf beneath your feet!), teeny tiny pendulous sedge seeds and a new flush of nettles after all the recent rain. We also learnt which conifers you can use for tea and gin infusions and which not to (yes I’m talking to you Yew!!).
The grand finale was gluten-free ZENB Spaghetti (ready in just five) served with an ember roasted vegetable ‘mechiou’, followed by a rhubarb and tahini pudding sprinkled with ZENB’s Veggie & Fruit Bites as a crumbly topping that was yum
