Jails suck...At 6 am yesterday, ten of us were arrested for civil disobedience. We sat in front of a construction truck protesting against the world’s tallest jail gearing up for construction in Chinatown, NYC - a community that has been deeply impacted by Covid and Anti Asian hate. We demonstrated that we would not be silent and would continue to fight to protect our communities. The mega jail will bring irreversible harm to current and future generations (taller than the Statue of Liberty), a symbol of incarceration instead of freedom.
