On our second day in Puglia, we traded poolside lounging for the streets of Lecce. Our guide, Francesco, charming and wildly knowledgeable led us through the city. He showed us Lecce’s intricate Baroque facades, quiet piazzas, and cathedrals that felt both sacred and cinematic. Between stops, we ducked into local bookstores and design shops, picking up small pieces of Lecce to carry with us. Wine happened, as it always should. Then dinner.
