5 years on December 13th, 2020. - I found it difficult to share about myself and what was going on in 2020. But a friend reminded me to especially share the important things. December 13th, I celebrated 5 years of sobriety. So much has happened in 5 years, I not only survived, but thrived during a global pandemic. I went from fear of finances and broke to having the ability to make a living by only doing what I love. I moved from Philly to LA, a place I never thought I’d be able to call home. I’ve been able to work in Hollywood, book my biggest commercials, become The Godfather to my niece, become an uncle to nieces, signed my first lease in LA, bought my first couch...ever, and my first plant, wrote my first feature script, started and hosted 18 dinner series, helped others get sober, practiced Buddhism, learned stocks and started investing, mastered a head stand, never had to touch a dating app again, learned to cook, learned to love being by myself in solitude without the loneliness, learned to love being single , and too much more to share on an IG post. There were disappointments, deaths in the family, and downtime but i learned to lean in faith and life on life’s terms. I didn’t do this on my own, and I was able to do it because I was sober and my old way of living and thinking wasn’t working. Every word of wisdom that you may have read or was inspired from in the last 5 years was what I learned in sobriety. I’m excited to share with you more in 2021.
