This month marks Disability Pride Month, a month designed to empower and celebrate the disabled community in the U.S.. Disability Pride Month was established in 1990 to mark the passing of the landmark Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), a civil rights law that prohibits discrimination based on disability.
